Curriculum
Practical Life
The Montessori classroom is prepared with purposeful activities which help develop concentration, coordination, order, and independence. Children will learn to care for themselves, care for the environment, control of movement, and grace and courtesy.
Sensorial
Children will be able to explore sensorial materials which help to develop and refine their five senses.
Language
Children will use language materials to explore letters, sounds, handwriting, and eventually spelling and writing.
Mathematics
Children are naturally attracted to the science of numbers. They will be first introduced to the quantity then they are introduced to the symbol. Children will eventually be able to associate the quantity with symbols.
Science and Geography
Children will learn about their physical world through puzzle maps. They will learn about where they belong in this world through maps and globes. Different areas of science and geography are introduced to prepare them for a lifetime of discovery. Different topics like astronomy, botany, physics, and zoology are introduced to make them curious.
